BIOPROCESS ENGINEER

for our Science and Research Department.

You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to developing innovative products with the capability to implement process design and bioprocess development for bacterial and cell culture systems. Your role will also involve operating automation platforms, which are essential to our products (Lucullus PIMS). We seek someone who thrives in a collaborative and agile team environment.

YOUR PROFILE

• You hold an academic engineering degree in bioprocess technology (MSc or equivalent) with a specialization in fermentation and process design of cell and bacterial cultures, or a similar focus. 2-3 years of demonstrable experience as a biotechnologist in bioprocess engineering, or a PhD in this field, is highly advantageous.
• You have experience as an individual contributor in multidisciplinary projects focused on bioprocess monitoring, control, automation, qualification, and optimization of innovative systems. Familiarity with Lucullus PIMS is a plus.
• You are enthusiastic about understanding and demonstrating complex systemic interrelationships while being a solution-oriented, analytical team player who takes initiative and possesses effective communication skills.
• You have hands-on experience in qualification and optimization during the development phases of new products, handling all tasks related to upstream processes including results evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
• You can plan and execute experiments based on experimental design (DOE), understand various analytical methods, and you are proficient in coding with Python and MATLAB.
• You communicate effectively in both German and English.
