BIOPROCESS ENGINEER

for our Science and Research Department.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary collaboration focused on developing innovative products, implementing process design and bioprocess development for bacterial and cell culture systems. Additionally, you will operate automation platforms, which are the core of our products (Lucullus PIMS). You must feel comfortable working productively and thrive in a highly collaborative and agile team environment.

YOUR PROFILE

• You hold an academic engineering degree in bioprocess technology (MSc or equivalent) specializing in fermentation and process design of cell and bacterial cultures, or a similar focus. Demonstrable 2-3 years of experience as a biotechnologist in bioprocess engineering and/or a PhD in this field would be highly advantageous.
• You have experience as an individual contributor in multidisciplinary projects, including bioprocess monitoring, control, automation projects, qualification, and optimization of innovative systems. Knowledge of Lucullus PIMS would be advantageous.
• You are enthusiastic about understanding and demonstrating complex systemic interrelationships, and you are an independent, solution-oriented, analytical team player with initiative. You possess effective communication skills.
• You have hands-on experience in qualification and optimization during the development phases of new products, performing all tasks related to upstream processes, including results evaluation, documentation, and reporting.
• You have experience in planning and executing experiments based on previously created experimental design (DOE), utilizing different analytical methods in this context. Familiarity with coding in Python and MATLAB is also desirable.
• You communicate effectively in both German and English.
