Job Responsibilities
- Oversee, plan, and support the execution of manufacturing campaigns in the area of microbial fermentation.
- Prepare and execute SHE, EM, operation, and cleaning risk analysis for the assigned products, implementing and controlling defined measures.
- Establish and ensure timely, high-quality production documentation specific to the assigned production area (preparation and review of electronic batch records).
- Perform manufacturing activities according to cGMP guidelines, ensuring batch execution, evaluating test results, resolving issues, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment while making recommendations for resolution.
- Review production documentation and manage deviations, change requests, and implementation of CAPAs to uphold high-quality GMP standards.
- Act as a production expert in capital investment projects for the building and commissioning of manufacturing units, providing all necessary input for setup, commissioning, and qualification of the manufacturing suites and equipment, including automation.
- Prepare, modify, and review DeltaV recipes for equipment and facility components.
- Coordinate and support engineering and workshops for campaign preparation and change-over activities in the facility.
- Execute innovation and improvement projects covering general manufacturing aspects for the production plant.
- Train operators for the manufacturing of the assigned products.
- Represent your area/unit during customer audits and visits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's Degree, or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with a Master's degree, and 3-5 years with a Bachelor's degree.
- Strong expertise in biotechnology and/or knowledge in biotechnical engineering, preferably in microbial fermentation; fluent in English; excellent understanding of GMP.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with various interfaces within the organization; strong team orientation.
- Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions; high motivation and dynamic drive; solution-oriented.
- Knowledge of MES and DeltaV systems is a significant plus.
- German language skills are a plus; English proficiency is mandatory.
