The Laboratory of Regenerative and Muscle Biology at ETH Zurich, in collaboration with the Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ), is seeking a dedicated Bioinformatician to contribute to exciting omics data research.
Led by Prof. Ori Bar-Nur, the RMB lab is a dynamic and multidisciplinary group focused on translating fundamental research into therapeutically applicable treatments. Our work bridges the fields of molecular and cellular biology, gene and cell-based therapies, and tissue engineering. We leverage cutting-edge multiomics tools to drive advancements in the understanding of critical biological processes.
The FGCZ is a state-of-the-art core facility of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich, employing the latest omics technologies for biomolecular research and personalized medicine. The Genome Informatics group at FGCZ excels in assisting researchers with the processing and interpretation of large-scale datasets, notably next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. Our team is equipped with high-performance computing, statistical evaluation methods, and innovative data analysis algorithms, all supported by an exceptional open-source software environment.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in various basic and translational research projects within the RMB lab. This position requires a collaborative spirit and a strong motivation to contribute to an international research team. The Bioinformatician will provide essential bioinformatics services to facilitate ongoing projects, focusing primarily on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics applications. Experience in these areas is highly desirable.
