The successful applicant will support students in enjoying and maximizing the learning opportunities at our school, focusing specifically on teaching Sciences to Middle School Secondaire students. There is potential for this position to include responsibilities as a homeroom advisor.
This position will be available from August 13, 2026, on a full-time basis.
A relevant Science qualification, along with a teaching qualification, is required. A Master’s degree in a suitable area of pedagogy is preferred.
Successful teaching experience in a Middle School setting, particularly with students whose first language may not be English and preferably in an international school context, is essential. Ability to address the needs of students with diagnosed learning differences in the classroom is also required. Experience as a homeroom advisor is advantageous.
English should be your mother tongue. You must be adept at using and integrating educational technology to enhance learning within the curriculum. Establishing a positive relationship with students is crucial, balancing firmness with empathy and fairness. Strong organizational skills are also necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent teamwork abilities, the capacity to meet tight deadlines, and skill in implementing effective classroom strategies and differentiation techniques.
The post holder must consistently adhere to Child Protection guidelines and maintain a professional distance from students while creating effective working and caring relationships. An understanding and appreciation of diversity and inclusion are vital, as is a commitment to standing against any form of discrimination. Background investigations and reference checks will be conducted for the past ten years during the selection process.
