The successful applicant will encourage and support students in enjoying and maximizing the learning opportunities offered by the school, specifically focusing on teaching Sciences to Middle School Secondaire students. This role may also include the possibility of becoming a homeroom advisor.
The position will be available from 13th August 2026 on a full-time basis.
A relevant Science qualification along with a teaching qualification is required, with a Master’s degree in a suitable area of pedagogy being preferred.
Successful experience teaching in a Middle School setting, particularly to students whose first language may not be English, is essential. The ability to address the needs of students with diagnosed learning differences in the classroom is also required. Experience as a homeroom advisor is advantageous.
English must be your mother tongue. You should possess the ability to effectively use and integrate educational technology to enhance learning. Strong relational skills to foster a positive, firm yet empathetic relationship with students are crucial. Good organizational skills are necessary, along with effective verbal and written communication abilities.
The ideal candidate will excel in teamwork, meet tight deadlines, and implement effective classroom and differentiation strategies.
It is essential that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and maintains a professional distance from students, while also developing effective working and caring relationships. A commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as a stance against discrimination in any form, is crucial. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
