The successful applicant will play a vital role in encouraging and supporting students to fully engage with and benefit from the learning opportunities provided by the school. Specifically, the role will involve teaching Sciences to Middle School Secondaire students, with the potential to serve as a homeroom advisor.
This position will be available from 13th August 2026 on a full-time basis.
Candidates must possess a relevant Science qualification along with a teaching qualification. A Master’s degree in a suitable area of pedagogy is preferred.
Successful teaching experience in a Middle School environment, particularly with students whose first language may not be English, is essential. A background in international school settings is ideal, along with the ability to address the needs of students with diagnosed learning differences. Experience as a homeroom advisor is an asset.
English should be your native language. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in using educational technology to enhance learning within the curriculum. Building positive relationships with students is crucial— a firm yet empathetic and fair approach is key. Strong organizational skills are also important.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.
The ideal candidate will excel in teamwork, meet tight deadlines, and implement effective classroom and differentiation strategies.
The post holder must always adhere to Child Protection guidelines, maintaining a professional distance while fostering effective and caring relationships with students. Candidates should value diversity and inclusion, standing firmly against all forms of discrimination. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
