Bench Chemist - Contract - Zebulon, NC

Could your expertise in analytical testing help ensure the quality and compliance of products that make a real difference? Proclinical is seeking a Bench Chemist to perform routine analytical testing and support laboratory operations.

Primary Responsibilities

This role involves working with raw materials, packaging, finished products, and environmental samples using various analytical methods and instruments. You will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, maintaining compliance with cGMP standards, and supporting method development and validation activities.

Skills & Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Experience in raw material sampling and testing is required.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical GMP standards is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in using analytical instruments and troubleshooting equipment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine analytical testing using approved methods and instrumentation.
• Produce accurate and valid data while meeting productivity expectations.
• Interpret and document test results, notifying supervisors of any deviations.
• Review and evaluate data generated by others.
• Maintain and update laboratory documentation, including SOPs, methods, and specifications.
• Support method development, validation, and transfer processes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Assist with training laboratory personnel and document training activities.
• Participate in interdepartmental projects as needed.
