SOURGOOD is a vibrant local business founded in Zurich in 2022, specializing in sourdough bread crafted from Swedish family traditions. Our bakery is conveniently located in Bridge, Europaallee, just two minutes from the main train station. In addition to our bakery, our delicious breads are available in various organic stores throughout Zurich. As we expand our product offerings, we are eager to welcome new talent to our team.

Position Available: Bakery Assistant / Doer

We are seeking a Bakery Assistant / Doer to join our team on an hourly basis, with a workload of 20-60%. This role does not require night or Sunday shifts, and the start date is flexible based on mutual agreement.

Responsibilities

• Morning preparations for the sales display (starting around 6:30 a.m.)
• Assistance in baking sourdough bread and other products
• Support in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the bakery
• Receiving and organizing ingredient deliveries
• Replenishing SOURGOOD breads, rolls, and other products on the shelves at the Bridge
• Adaptable tasks and responsibilities that may evolve over time as part of a small start-up team

Skills

• Physically strong individual (able to handle 25 kg flour sacks—girl power is always welcome!) who thrives in both team-based and independent work environments
• Determined and efficient with a strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients is a plus
• Enjoy engaging with customers; helpful demeanor is essential, along with some proficiency in German
• A passion for good nutrition and health as a “foodie” would be an advantage
