SOURGOOD is a thriving local business founded in Zurich in 2022, specializing in sourdough bakery products crafted from cherished Swedish family traditions. Conveniently located in Bridge, Europaallee, just two minutes from the main train station, our bakery serves the community and beyond, with our breads also available in select organic stores throughout Zurich. As we continue to grow and introduce new products, we are on the lookout for passionate individuals to join our small yet dynamic team.

Position: Bakery Assistant / Doer

We are seeking a Bakery Assistant / Doer to work on an hourly basis, with a workload ranging from 20% to 60%. Please note that this position does not require night or Sunday work, and the start date is flexible by agreement.

Responsibilities

• Morning preparations for the sales display (starting around 6:30 a.m.)
• Assisting in the baking of sourdough bread and a variety of other products
• Supporting the cleanliness and organization of the bakery and assisting with the receipt and organization of ingredient deliveries
• Replenishing SOURGOOD breads, rolls, and other products on the shelves at the Bridge
• As part of a small start-up, you may experience evolving tasks and responsibilities over time

Skills

• A physically strong individual (able to handle 25 kg flour sacks; we welcome the strength of everyone!) who thrives in a team environment but can also work independently
• A determined individual who takes pride in completing tasks efficiently
• Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients is a plus
• A friendly personality who enjoys engaging with customers and has some proficiency in German
• Ideally, you are a “foodie” with a keen interest in good nutrition and health
