SOURGOOD is a charming local business, founded in Zurich in 2022, dedicated to producing exceptional sourdough bread inspired by Swedish family traditions. Our bakery is conveniently located at Bridge, Europaallee, just a two-minute walk from the main train station. In addition to serving our loyal customers directly, our breads are also available at select organic stores throughout Zurich. As we expand with new products, we invite you to be part of our exciting journey.
Position: Bakery Assistant / Doer
We are currently seeking a Bakery Assistant / Doer on an hourly basis, with a workload of 20-60%. Please note, there is no night or Sunday work required. The start date is flexible and will be determined by mutual agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Morning preparations for the sales display (starting around 6:30 a.m.)
- Assisting with the baking of sourdough bread and other delicious products
- Supporting various tasks, including maintaining cleanliness and organization, as well as receiving and organizing ingredient deliveries
- Replenishing SOURGOOD breads, rolls, and other products on the shelves at the Bridge location
- As a small start-up company, your tasks and responsibilities may expand over time
Qualifications:
- A physically strong individual (capable of handling 25 kg flour sacks – girl power is definitely welcomed!) who is a collaborative team player yet can work independently
- Someone who is determined and efficient in getting the job done
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients is beneficial
- A customer-friendly attitude with a willingness to assist, along with some proficiency in German
- A “foodie” who has an interest in good nutrition and health is a plus
