Techfirm Engineering is seeking an enthusiastic Automation & Instrumentation Technician to become a valuable member of an exciting project with one of our leading industrial clients in Switzerland.

Your Responsibilities
As an Automation & Instrumentation Technician, you will:
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production, utility, and conveying systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, automation, instrumentation, and control system issues.
- Ensure maximum equipment availability while minimizing production downtime.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for technical failures.
- Maintain and calibrate instrumentation devices (pressure, temperature, flow, level, radar, etc.).
- Work with electrical systems, PLCs, control systems, and process instrumentation.
- Participate in the commissioning of new or modified production equipment.
- Support continuous improvements to automation and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and site regulations.
- Participate in the on-call (standby) rotation.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and technical reliability projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Completed technical training as an Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, Instrumentation Technician, or an equivalent engineering qualification.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably within the chemical, pharmaceutical, or process industry.
- Knowledge of instrumentation, process control, and measurement technologies.
- Experience with PLC/Siemens automation systems is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with electrical maintenance and industrial control systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Motivated, flexible, and capable of working independently as well as in a team.
- Fluent German is mandatory.
- Good computer literacy.
