Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the sales of solutions business (new products) within the Energy Industries division, aligned with the division's strategy. Each day, you will meet both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue generation, profitability, market share expansion, and customer satisfaction. You will also display your sales expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

Main Accountability
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring a positive experience and providing technical support during sales interactions. Establish new customer relationships in the field of process automation while maintaining a positive customer experience as a frontline salesperson.
- Sales Execution: Enhance sales through strategic initiatives, value-based selling, target setting, and active participation in contract negotiations. Collaborate with extended sales teams to unlock new market opportunities.
- Bid Management: Support the preparation of competitive bids and proposals, addressing technical, financial, and project aspects while identifying risks and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Process & Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal guidelines, efficient tool use, accurate forecasting, and support for administrative and reporting processes. Continuously maintain data regarding your sales activities and project pipeline in the ABB CRM system (Salesforce).
Qualifications for the Role
- A vocational training/diploma in electrical engineering as an electrician/automation specialist or a university degree in electrical engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Knowledge in industrial automation within sectors such as power generation, chemical-pharmaceutical, waste to energy plants, or water and wastewater management.
- A team-oriented, solution-focused approach with proficient written and oral communication skills in German and English; knowledge of French is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to analyze customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly; a structured and methodical approach to work, along with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proficient knowledge of ERP and CRM software as well as Microsoft Office; experience in offering digital solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the electrical installer market and an interest in building automation; a proven ability to establish and manage customer relationships.
- A valid Swiss category B driver's license and a Swiss work permit.
