Automation & Control System Engineer
Your main responsibility will be to design, configure, and execute control systems for gas turbines. You will focus on hardware specification, engineering, and integration, working closely with system suppliers.
Your Tasks
- Prepare specifications for gas turbine control systems and components.
- Establish and maintain design rules in compliance with technical requirements and applicable codes and standards.
- Engineer field loops for sensors and actuators.
- Initiate and support the preparation of design, manufacturing, and commissioning documentation.
- Configure and customize the gas turbine control system according to project requirements.
- Facilitate procurement activities and supplier selection with technical expertise.
- Support and supervise suppliers during project execution.
- Specify and conduct factory acceptance tests.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance during erection and commissioning.
- Conduct hand-over to the service organization.
Your Profile
- Degree in electrical or automation engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and executing control and automation systems for power or process plants.
- Good acquaintance with industrial automation products and components.
- Expertise in I&C loop and bus network design.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
- Proficiency in working with integrated planning and engineering tools (preferably EPLAN).
- Knowledge of functional safety and cyber-security is a plus.
- Strong commitment to delivering according to quality, time, and cost targets.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage, and additional Italian skills would be an asset.
