Position: Automation & Control System Engineer

We invite you to strengthen our team in Baden, Switzerland by contributing your expertise and experience as an Automation & Control System Engineer. Your main responsibility will be to design, configure, and execute control systems for gas turbines, focusing on hardware specification, engineering, and integration in coordination with our system suppliers.

Your Tasks

  • Prepare specifications for gas turbine control systems and components.
  • Establish and maintain design rules in compliance with technical requirements and applicable codes and standards.
  • Engineer field loops for sensors and actuators.
  • Support the preparation of design, manufacturing, and commissioning documentation.
  • Configure and customize the gas turbine control system according to project requirements.
  • Facilitate procurement activities and supplier selection with technical expertise.
  • Support and supervise suppliers during project execution.
  • Specify and conduct factory acceptance tests.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance during erection and commissioning.
  • Conduct hand-over to service organization.

Your Profile

  • Degree in electrical or automation engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in designing and executing control and automation systems for power or process plants.
  • Good familiarity with industrial automation products and components.
  • Expertise in I&C loop and bus network design.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards.
  • Proficiency in integrated planning and engineering tools (preferably EPLAN).
  • Knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity is a plus.
  • Strong commitment to deliver according to quality, time, and cost targets.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in German is advantageous, and knowledge of Italian would be an asset.
