The Opportunity
As an auditor, you will gain valuable insights into the business dynamics of various financial services providers while cultivating meaningful relationships at the highest levels.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the audit of consolidated and annual financial statements for both national and international (large) companies & SMEs, with a focus on companies requiring PCAOB reporting.
- Assess processes and internal controls in key business areas of our clients within an integrated audit approach, including verifying a functional control environment (SOX).
- Collaborate with managers and the lead auditor to report audit results to the board of directors and management.
- Serve as a key contact for clients and foster ongoing relationships.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team while providing professional leadership to foster the growth of your team members through on-the-job coaching and training.
- Drive the digitalization of on-site auditing, ensuring efficient and value-added audit services.
Skills and Attributes for Success
What you bring to the table:
- A successful completion of training as a certified public accountant or US CPA.
- Experience in auditing and evaluating internal control systems under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404).
- Familiarity with audits of PCAOB companies closing with US GAAP or IFRS standards.
- Experience with audits of SEC foreign private issuers.
- Relevant work experience, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
- Core values of integrity, respect, and teamwork.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and courage to lead.
- A strong affinity for numbers and a desire to enhance your experience with modern data analysis methods.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Comfort in an international environment and fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German can be an advantage.
