The Opportunity
As an auditor, you will have the unique opportunity to gain in-depth insights into the business frameworks of diverse financial service providers and foster valuable relationships at the highest levels of the industry.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the audit of consolidated and annual financial statements for national and international large corporations and SMEs, with a particular focus on entities subject to PCAOB reporting requirements.
- Assess processes and internal controls in key business areas through an integrated audit approach, including ensuring a robust control environment (SOX).
- Collaborate with managers and lead auditors to report audit results to boards of directors and management teams.
- Act as a primary contact for clients and work on deepening client relationships.
- Manage a multidisciplinary team, providing professional guidance and on-the-job coaching to enhance team members' skills.
- Drive the digitalization of on-site audits, ensuring that our audit services are efficient and add value to our clients.
Skills and Attributes for Success
What you bring to the table:
- Completion of training as a certified public accountant or US CPA is essential.
- Experience in auditing and evaluating internal control systems in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX 404).
- Familiarity with PCAOB audits, US GAAP, or IFRS standards.
- Experience with SEC foreign private issuer audits.
- Relevant work experience, preferably with a Big 4 firm.
- Core values of integrity, respect, and teamwork.
- Energy, enthusiasm, and the courage to take the lead.
- A penchant for numbers, along with a motivation to expand your expertise in modern data analysis methods.
- Adeptness in interacting with others—both clients and colleagues.
- Comfort in an international setting, with fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
