As a part of the Audit Quality & Risk Management (AQRM) team, a vital internal function, you will promote a culture of sound quality and risk management by serving as a Subject Matter Expert for Audit & Assurance practitioners. Your role will involve advising and supporting the business in mitigating various risk areas to protect the firm’s reputation and enable it to achieve its objectives.

How You Can Make an Impact

• Provide AQRM support to Audit & Assurance practitioners across all offices in Switzerland, engaging with different industries including Financial Services and Corporate Industries.
• Participate in accounting discussions under international frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS) and Swiss requirements (Swiss GAAP FER, Swiss Code of Obligations).
• Address audit methodology questions and consultations related to internal (Deloitte Audit Methodology) and external standards including Generally Accepted Audit Standards (e.g., U.S.GAAS, International Standards of Auditing (ISA), Swiss Standards on Auditing).
• Collaborate closely with AQRM colleagues and Audit & Assurance professionals to conduct Monitoring & Measurement activities (e.g., internal inspections, diagnostics, health checks, and others), allowing you to work independently while benefiting from expert advice.
• Contribute to the development of AQRM services (e.g., assurance, ESG, data privacy) and engage in Audit & Assurance compliance activities related to independence, learning, and other policies and procedures.
• In addition to your role in the AQRM department, you are encouraged to participate in selected Audit & Assurance engagements to observe best practices and identify development areas, thereby enhancing our commitment to Audit Quality and strengthening trust in our services in the financial market.

Who We Are Looking For

• A degree in financial accounting or auditing with a keen interest in compliance.
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail, organized, and efficient at managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills to build relationships with practitioners at all levels, up to partner, while providing suitable challenges when necessary.
• 6-8 years of experience in professional services, ideally in financial accounting, auditing, Swiss Law, or international accounting and auditing standards.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German, French, or Italian is advantageous.
