Promote a Culture of Sound Quality & Risk Management

Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance practice assists our national and international clients in achieving their corporate goals, managing risks, and improving business performance. In doing so, we must also manage risks within our own organization to uphold our reputation for delivering high-quality Audit & Assurance services. Audit Quality is the highest priority of our A&A strategy, serving the public interest and maintaining trust in our services. As a member of the Audit Quality & Risk Management (AQRM) team, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of sound quality and risk management by acting as a Subject Matter Expert for our Audit & Assurance practitioners.

How You Can Make an Impact

  • Provide AQRM support to our Audit & Assurance practitioners across Switzerland, engaging in various industries such as Financial Services and Corporate Industries.
  • Participate in accounting discussions under international (USGAAP, IFRS) and Swiss requirements (Swiss GAAP FER, Swiss Code of Obligation).
  • Address audit methodology questions and consultations regarding internal (Deloitte Audit Methodology) and external requirements like Generally Accepted Audit Standards (e.g., U.S. GAAS, International Standards of Auditing (ISA), Swiss Standards on Auditing).
  • Collaborate with your AQRM colleagues and Audit & Assurance professionals to conduct Monitoring & Measurement activities (e.g., internal inspections, diagnostics, health checks, and more).
  • Contribute to the development of our AQRM services (e.g., assurance, ESG, data privacy) and participate in Audit & Assurance compliance activities related to independence, learning, and other policies and procedures.
  • Engage in selected Audit & Assurance engagements to observe best practices and identify areas for enhancement, furthering our commitment to Audit Quality.

Who We Are Looking For

  • A degree in financial accounting or auditing, with a keen interest in compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and efficiency in managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate effective relationships with practitioners at all levels, including partners.
  • 6-8 years of work experience in professional services, with a background in financial accounting, auditing, Swiss Law, or international accounting standards preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in German, French, or Italian would be advantageous.

Your Team

Join a diverse, multinational, and highly motivated team. We prioritize your personal and professional growth through training, mentoring programs, and on-the-job learning, alongside engagement with colleagues across all business lines. Reporting directly to the Audit Risk Leader or their deputy, you will find opportunities to assume increased responsibility as your knowledge expands and make a significant impact on the Audit & Assurance business. You will be part of the broader AQRM community in Switzerland and across North South Europe (NSE).
