As a part of the Audit Quality & Risk Management (AQRM) team, you'll play a vital role in fostering a culture of sound quality and effective risk management. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for Audit & Assurance practitioners, your expertise will guide and support the business in mitigating risks and enabling the achievement of key objectives.

How You Can Make an Impact

In this role, you will:

  • Provide AQRM support to Audit & Assurance practitioners across all offices in Switzerland, engaging with a diverse range of industries.
  • Participate in accounting discussions adhering to both international (USGAAP, IFRS) and Swiss requirements (Swiss GAAP FER, Swiss Code of Obligation).
  • Address questions and consultations regarding audit methodologies relevant to both internal (Deloitte Audit Methodology) and external standards, including Generally Accepted Audit Standards (e.g., U.S.GAAS, International Standards of Auditing (ISA), Swiss Standards on Auditing).
  • Collaborate closely with AQRM colleagues and Audit & Assurance professionals in Monitoring & Measurement activities such as internal inspections, diagnostics, health checks, and other assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of AQRM services including assurance, ESG, data privacy, and participate in Audit & Assurance compliance activities related to independence, learning, and policies.
  • Engage in selected Audit & Assurance projects to observe best practices and identify development areas where AQRM support can enhance Audit Quality and trust in our services.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in financial accounting or auditing, with a keen interest in compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to organize and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective relationship-building with practitioners at all levels, including partners.
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in professional services, preferably in financial accounting, auditing, or familiarity with Swiss Law and international accounting/audit standards.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German, French, or Italian is a plus.
