Your New Role

As the Associate Vice President for Commercial Supply Chain in International Operations, you will:

  • Report to the Senior Vice President of Finance of International Operations and be a member of the Finance International Operations leadership team, with dotted line responsibility to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for Novo Nordisk.
  • Operationally secure supply to more than 37 million patients, with a strategic ambition to enhance the customer-focused supply chain that delivers a competitive advantage to Novo Nordisk.
  • Transform commercial strategies, budgets, and brand plans into forecasts and demand predictions for upcoming periods, serving as a foundation for Novo Nordisk's Supply and Demand Balancing (S&OP).
  • Strengthen the understanding of customer needs across the value chain—from pipeline to patient—while building differentiated service offerings in close collaboration with Development and strategic functions in International Operations, Product Supply, R&D, and Product and Portfolio Strategy.
  • Own the Novo Nordisk Local Manufacturing Strategy, ensuring International Operations executes and delivers a strong return on investment.

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Your Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need a relevant academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or Manufacturing.

Relevant experience includes:

  • 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, pharmaceutical production, and/or general business.
  • 5 years of experience in a senior management team.
  • A minimum of 5 years of international experience, preferably in IO/Emerging Markets.
  • Strong people management experience, ideally with large and diverse teams, as you will manage a direct team of 15 and a functional organization of approximately 250 supply chain professionals.
  • Experience in delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in articulating complex issues effectively to key decision makers.
  • Expertise in analyzing complex issues, utilizing strategic thinking, and implementing tactical plans. A profound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing processes, GDP, and relevant laws and regulations impacting a multinational pharmaceutical company.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
