Your New Role

As the Associate Vice President for Commercial Supply Chain in International Operations, you will:

  • Report to the Senior Vice President of Finance of International Operations and be a member of the Finance International Operations leadership team, with dotted line responsibility to the Senior Vice President of Supply Chain for Novo Nordisk.
  • Secure operational supply to more than 37 million patients, with a strategic ambition to enhance the customer-focused supply chain, providing a competitive advantage for Novo Nordisk.
  • Play a key role in transforming commercial strategies, budgets, and brand plans into accurate forecasts, driving the prediction of IO sales volume for upcoming periods to support Novo Nordisk's Supply and Demand Balancing (S&OP).
  • Strengthen the understanding of customer needs across the value chain—from pipeline to patient—and build differentiated service offerings in close collaboration with Development and strategic functions in International Operations, Product Supply, R&D, and Product and Portfolio Strategy.
  • Own and execute the Novo Nordisk Local Manufacturing Strategy, ensuring International Operations delivers a strong return on investment.

Your Skills & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you’ll need a relevant academic degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or Manufacturing.

Relevant experience includes:

  • 15 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, pharmaceutical production, and/or general business.
  • At least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of international experience, preferably in IO/Emerging Markets countries.
  • Experience managing a direct team of 15 people and a functional organization of approximately 250 supply chain professionals; strong people management capabilities are essential.
  • Proven track record of delivering business objectives in alignment with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expertise in articulating complex issues effectively and persuasively to key decision-makers.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, utilize strategic thinking, and implement tactical plans, along with a profound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturing processes, GDP, and relevant laws impacting a multinational pharmaceutical company.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
