Join Our Team as an R&D Associate Scientist

Our company is seeking a motivated R&D Associate Scientist to join our Services Process Development team. Become part of our mission to translate R&D innovation into reliable service fulfillment, ensuring our unique technology reaches its full potential.

Your Challenge

  • Hands-on development of efficient processes for our cell line engineering workflow in collaboration with our interdisciplinary team of cell engineering service experts, biologists, and automation specialists.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of our workflow by identifying risks and failures and resolving technical issues.
  • Spearhead the full lifecycle of cell line engineering SOPs, from creation to maintenance, and drive technical enablement and knowledge transfer.
  • Support our Services Fulfillment team in unblocking customer projects by bridging the gap between R&D innovation and service fulfillment.
  • Monitor the performance of lab and automation solutions to ensure a functional process line.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in cell biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, bioengineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of practical experience following the completion of your Master’s degree, with initial industry experience being a significant advantage.
  • Strong experience in process development in cell line development or related areas.
  • Proficient in handling challenging mammalian cell lines (neuronal cells, immune cells, iPSCs, etc.).
  • Comfortable with wet-lab work, experimental troubleshooting, and operating lab equipment (e.g., cell seeder, imager).
  • Experience in designing and optimizing experiments, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements.
  • Able to work autonomously, take ownership of projects, and drive innovation.
  • Capable of defining the problem space and articulating key questions with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining protocols on an ELN platform is a strong advantage.
  • High proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
