Associate Product Manager - Joint Reconstruction

We are seeking a driven, customer-focused, and communicative individual to join our successful Swiss Joint Reconstruction business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of key areas within the product portfolio while actively contributing to our commercial success in the Swiss market. You will play a vital role in product launches, market development, and cross-functional collaboration, all while further enhancing your strategic and analytical skills in Product Management.

Tasks

  • Own defined product groups and manage performance across the full product lifecycle.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and selected external partners, ensuring strong alignment across functions.
  • Contribute to and drive elements of go-to-market strategies and product launch plans.
  • Lead or co-lead the execution of new product launches, ensuring timely and high-quality implementation in the Swiss market.
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to support commercial execution, drive product adoption, and achieve business targets.
  • Drive market segmentation, targeting, and product positioning based on customer insights and competitive dynamics.
  • Analyze KPIs, market data, and financial performance to identify growth opportunities and support decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospital decision makers, and internal partners.
  • Conduct in-depth market and competitor analysis to anticipate trends and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Own selected projects (e.g., campaigns, training sessions, events) and ensure successful execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with EMEA Marketing, Global Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and other key functions.
  • Ensure alignment with supply chain processes to support product availability and mitigate business risks.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HCC, legal, regulatory).

Qualifications

  • Educational background in an orthopedic or healthcare-related field (degree from university or equivalent).
  • 2+ years of professional experience in product management, marketing, or sales (experience in medical devices is preferred).
  • Experience in orthopedics or the healthcare industry is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in German and English (business level); proficiency in French or Italian is a plus.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Proactive and results-driven mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels.
  • Able to work in a cross-functional and international environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel (20-30%).

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone company operating as DePuy Synthes. The separation process is expected to be completed within 18 to 24 months, pending legal requirements and regulatory approvals.
