Your Mission

English-speaking Assistant Wednesday Mornings: As a French-speaking assistant, you will be part of a bilingual team, engaging with 25 to 30 children aged 3 to 6. Your role will include participating in daily routines and supporting children's learning through age-appropriate, stimulating activities.

English-speaking Assistant After School: You will oversee the daily routines of our after-school program on Wednesdays, maintaining a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role includes planning activities suited for different age groups and communicating with parents in both French and English. You will also work in the after-school program every other Tuesday.

Holiday Camps: Based on demand and the school's needs, you will join our Holiday Camp team. Working alongside your colleagues, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing holiday camps designed to engage children during school breaks. Your efforts will contribute to creating a positive, fun, and educational experience.

Your Profile

  • Experience or a strong interest in child-centered pedagogies such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia (training in Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia is a plus).
  • A passion for education and supporting the development of children aged 3 to 6.
  • Experience in a multi-age environment.
  • A degree in Education is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children.
  • Personal qualities: independent, positive, patient, dynamic, creative, organized, detail-oriented, team player, and adaptable.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support each child in their development and manage the classroom collaboratively with the team.
  • Design and implement the educational program for after-school and holiday camps, creating activities tailored to the children's interests and pace.
  • Provide caring and personalized follow-up for each child.
  • Build trusting relationships with families, creating a reassuring space for both parents and children.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to develop educational resources.

Conditions

Working hours include every other Tuesday afternoon and all Wednesdays during school weeks, with full-time (40 hours) availability during holiday camps upon request.

Salary: This dynamic role offers compensation based on an hourly rate. Opportunities to work additional hours may be available, depending on the needs throughout the year.
