Your Mission

English-speaking Assistant on Wednesday Mornings

As a French-speaking assistant, you will be part of a bilingual team, working with 25 to 30 children aged 3 to 6. Your role will involve actively participating in daily routines, including classroom management, and supporting children’s learning through age-appropriate and stimulating activities.

English-speaking Assistant After School

You will oversee the daily routines of the after-school program on Wednesdays, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This includes planning age-appropriate activities and communicating with parents in both French and English. Additionally, you will work in the After School program every other Tuesday.

Holiday Camps

Based on demand and the school's needs, you will join our Holiday Camp Team. Collaborating with a colleague, you will plan, coordinate, and execute holiday camps designed to keep children engaged during school breaks, creating a positive, fun, and educational atmosphere through age-appropriate activities.

Your Profile

  • Experience or strong interest in child-centered pedagogies, such as Montessori and Reggio Emilia (Montessori and/or Reggio Emilia training is a plus)
  • Passion for education and development of children aged 3 to 6
  • Experience in a multi-age environment
  • Degree in Education required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children
  • Personal qualities: independent, positive, patient, dynamic, creative, organized, detail-oriented, team player, and adaptable

Your Responsibilities

  • Support each child's development and manage the classroom alongside the team.
  • Design and implement the educational program for after-school and holiday camps, tailoring activities to the interests and pace of the children.
  • Provide caring and personalized follow-up for each child.
  • Build trusting relationships with families, offering a reassuring space for both parents and children.
  • Contribute to the development of educational resources in collaboration with the teaching team.

Conditions

Working Hours: Every other Tuesday afternoon and all Wednesday during school weeks. Full-time (40 hours) during Holiday Camps (upon request).

Salary: As this role is dynamic, compensation will be based on an hourly rate. There may be opportunities to work additional hours beyond the ones specified, depending on needs throughout the year.
