UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) Opportunity

The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) is a pivotal role that demands expertise in the IT Asset Management life cycle, with a particular focus on Software Asset Management. The successful candidate will analyze the current IT Asset Management processes, ensuring they are both efficient and effective.

In this role, you will process software requests, conduct regular license pooling and checks, and monitor the deployment and retirement of IT Assets, both hardware and software. You will analyze large volumes of software entitlements in relation to current or planned deployment data, and support IT and procurement teams in developing licensing models. Additionally, you will optimize license usage by understanding key license drivers, such as transaction volumes, number of users, and more, to maintain effective license positions with various software publishers.

Moreover, the IT Asset Manager will continuously seek to enhance the IT asset management process, particularly with respect to Software Asset Management. Starting with a gap analysis between existing processes and best practices, you will lead the implementation of improved processes and, if necessary, introduce new tools.

Your Role

• Understand and apply key IT asset management concepts, focusing on Software Asset Management.
• Support procurement efforts by building new license models, negotiating software contracts, and completing necessary IT asset management tasks throughout the hardware and software license lifecycle.
• Manage internal and external software audits to ensure compliance and optimization.
• Ensure accurate asset reporting, create dashboards for IT and Controlling functions, and uphold procurement, IT security, risk, and compliance procedures.
• Provide ad-hoc administrative support for IT Asset Management and lead a process gap analysis to further enhance the ITAM discipline.
• Deliver excellent customer service and foster teamwork across the organization.

Your Expertise

• Experience as an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating successful knowledge of enterprise software asset management tools.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing a robust IT Software Asset Management process.
• Strong analytical skills to compile data and metrics that facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Familiarity with SAM tools and technologies, including Flexera, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or equivalent software asset management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with management at all organizational levels in both German and English.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree, advanced federal diploma, or vocational qualification in IT or Business Management.
