The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) provides expertise in the IT Asset Management life cycle, focusing particularly on Software Asset Management strategies.
The successful candidate will process software requests, conduct regular license audits, and monitor the deployment and retirement of IT assets (both hardware and software). The ITAM will analyze large volumes of software entitlements in conjunction with actual or planned deployment data, support IT and procurement teams in developing licensing models, optimize license usage based on key metrics (e.g., number of transactions, number of cards, number of users), and maintain effective license positions for various software publishers.
In addition, the IT Asset Manager will strive to continuously improve the IT asset management process, with a specific emphasis on the Software Asset Management process. This will begin with a gap analysis comparing the current process to best practices and will involve leading the implementation of the enhanced procedure along with any necessary toolsets.
