Area Sales Manager (m/w/d) – Estée Lauder Companies | Zurich, Switzerland

We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join Estée Lauder Companies in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of District Managers, executing sell-in and sell-out strategies, and developing our business in the perfumery and beauty channels. You will play a key role in maintaining and expanding our relationships with key external partners while ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee wholesale retail sales across all wholesale retailers while managing sell-in for perfumery doors, including contract negotiation and stakeholder management.
  • Implement strategies to exceed sales targets while fostering strong relationships with partners and customers.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of District Managers (DMs) to achieve performance excellence.
  • Conduct field visits with District Managers several days a week to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Utilize Sales Force Automation (SFA) tools daily to enhance operational efficiency and leverage analytical capabilities.
  • Guide optimization of customer interactions to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and retail partners.

Your Profile:

  • BA/MA in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of commercial experience, with a strong focus on field sales.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an Area Field Manager with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Field experience as a sales representative or district manager is essential.
  • Key account management experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the FMCG or beauty industry, with a strong network in Switzerland.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
  • An analytical mindset with a strong affinity for numbers and sales data analysis.
  • Proficiency in German and English is a must; French is a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
