APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
Join us for Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development.
Your Responsibilities
- Installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or via remote access to Linux and Windows.
- Coordinate with customers and responsible stakeholders for the respective IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) to ensure successful installations.
- Plan and perform software updates for our customers and address 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system (including triage).
- Support our testing department in the verification of installations and updating of procedures.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a computer scientist or an equivalent IT education with several years of work experience.
- Adept at resolving technical issues in complex life science lab devices, as well as computer and network environments.
- Experienced in executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing trust and developing long-term relationships with clients.
- Comfortable with administrative tasks across different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Preferably experienced in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL).
- Familiar with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability.
- Willing to embrace travel activities of up to 5% (Europe, North America, Asia).
- Proficient in working independently, utilizing strong problem-solving abilities in a goal-oriented manner while collaborating effectively in international and multicultural settings.
- Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus, although not a prerequisite.
- A valid work permit is required; only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
