APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
This role will focus on Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development.
Your Responsibilities
- Installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or via remote access on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Coordination with customers and stakeholders to ensure the necessary IT infrastructure requirements (OS/Networking/Database) are met for successful installations.
- Planning and implementation of software updates for our customers.
- Handling 2nd level support issues through our ticketing system, including triage of support requests.
- Collaboration with our testing department to verify installations and update procedural documentation.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a computer scientist or equivalent IT education, along with several years of professional experience.
- Strong aptitude for resolving technical issues in complex life science lab devices, computer, and network environments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate support tickets at various levels (1st, 2nd, and 3rd).
- Excellent interpersonal skills to establish trust and build long-term relationships with clients.
- Comfortable handling administrative tasks across different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Preferably experienced in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with software-to-software integration technologies, such as REST APIs, SOAP, and other connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% (Europe, North America, Asia).
- Proactive in independent work, combining strong problem-solving skills with effective collaboration in international and multicultural environments.
- Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus but not a prerequisite.
- A valid work permit is required, and only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
