APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer for Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development.
Your Responsibilities
- Installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or via remote access to Linux and Windows systems.
- Coordinate with customers and responsible stakeholders regarding the necessary steps for installations, including IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database).
- Plan and execute software updates for customers and handle 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system (including triage).
- Support our testing department in the verification of installations and updating of procedures.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a computer scientist or equivalent IT education along with several years of relevant experience.
- Enjoy solving technical issues in complex life science lab device, computer, and network environments.
- Take responsibility for executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
- Possess strong people skills to establish trust and develop long-term relationships with clients.
- Comfortable with administrative tasks across different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Experience in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL) is preferred.
- Familiarity with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% (Europe, North America, Asia).
- Adept at working independently and using strong problem-solving abilities in a goal-oriented manner, while effectively collaborating in international and multicultural settings.
- Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus but not a prerequisite.
- A valid work permit is required, and only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
