Application Support Engineer
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer for Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Installation and basic configuration of our software applications on-site or via remote access to Linux and Windows environments.
- Coordination with customers and responsible stakeholders regarding the IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) to complete installations.
- Planning and performing software updates for our customers.
- Handling 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system, including triage.
- Supporting our test department in the verification of installations and updates of procedures.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a computer scientist or equivalent IT education, with several years of working experience.
- Adept at resolving technical issues in complex life science lab device, computer, and network environments.
- Enjoy responsibility in executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing trust and developing long-term relationships with clients.
- Comfortable with administrative tasks across different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Preferably possess experience in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL).
- Preferably have experience with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability.
- Willing to embrace travel activities of up to 5% (Europe, North America, Asia).
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating and communicating in international and multicultural settings.
- Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus; however, it is not a prerequisite.
- A valid work permit is required, and only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
