APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER
We are seeking an Application Support Engineer for Lucullus®, our process information management system for bioprocess development.
Your Responsibilities
- Install and configure our software applications on-site or via remote access to Linux and Windows systems.
- Coordinate with customers and responsible stakeholders regarding the necessary IT infrastructure (OS/Networking/Database) for installations.
- Plan and perform software updates for our customers.
- Handle 2nd level support issues using our ticketing system, including triage.
- Support our testing department in the verification of installations and updating procedures.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as a computer scientist or an equivalent IT education, along with several years of working experience.
- A knack for resolving technical issues in complex life science lab device, computer, and network environments.
- Enjoy taking responsibility for executing, managing, and coordinating 1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support tickets.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing trust and building long-term relationships with clients.
- Comfortable with administrative tasks across different operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Preferred experience in basic database administration (Oracle Database and/or PostgreSQL).
- Experience with software-to-software integration technologies, including REST APIs, SOAP, and similar connector frameworks for seamless system interoperability is a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 5% (Europe, North America, Asia).
- Ability to work independently and utilize strong problem-solving skills in a goal-oriented manner while communicating effectively in international and multicultural settings.
- Experience in (bio)process technology is a plus; however, it is not a prerequisite.
- A valid work permit is required; only applications matching the job profile will be considered.
