Position: IT Application Owner – Finance Applications
To strengthen our IT capabilities, we are seeking an experienced IT Application Owner – Finance Applications to join our IT department. This is a full-time position based in Baden, Switzerland, offered with an unlimited contract and a hybrid working model.
Your Role
In this pivotal and hands-on position, you will lead end-to-end project management for finance-related information systems, encompassing both SAP ERP and non-SAP applications. You’ll take ownership of key finance applications and play a central role in driving automation and AI initiatives to enhance efficiency and digital maturity across the finance function.
You will report directly to the IS Finance Manager in Baden and become an integral part of a global IT organization. The role supports global finance projects and operations managed from Accelleron’s headquarters in Switzerland, providing opportunities to collaborate with international teams and shape the future of finance technology within the company.
Your Responsibilities
- Application Ownership for Non-ERP Tools: Oversee the management of finance applications, primarily focusing on APOC (Accounts Payables on Cloud) along with other applications in accounting, controlling, tax, and treasury. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance finance applications based on business needs while ensuring stability, performance, and security.
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a positive user experience. Collaborate with technical teams to efficiently resolve interface issues with SAP ERP, addressing functional, infrastructure, security, and connectivity challenges.
- IS Project Management: Lead project management for finance-related IS initiatives, including the implementation of new solutions and functionalities within SAP, ensuring seamless integration. Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables that align with business objectives.
- Automation and AI Leadership: Drive projects focused on automation and AI to optimize finance processes, partnering with stakeholders to identify and implement operational enhancements.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage third-party vendor relationships to ensure performance aligns with contracts, acting as a liaison between finance stakeholders and IT.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in project management and application ownership roles focused on finance applications.
- Proven expertise in leading IS projects involving SAP ERP and non-ERP finance applications.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Experience in implementing and managing Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
- Expertise in automation and AI-driven projects for finance process efficiency.
- Technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC, with troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills in managing complex, cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of finance-related software, cloud-based solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing technical and operational challenges.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk management in finance applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
