Position Overview
To further enhance our IT capabilities, we are seeking an experienced IT Application Owner – Finance Applications to join our IT department in Baden, Switzerland. This full-time position is offered with an unlimited contract and a hybrid working model.
Role Responsibilities
- Application Ownership for Non-ERP Tools: Oversee the comprehensive management of finance applications, focusing primarily on APOC (Accounts Payables on Cloud) along with other tools in accounting, controlling, tax, and treasury. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance these applications based on business needs while ensuring stability, performance, and security.
- User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing issues to ensure a positive experience. Troubleshoot interface issues with SAP ERP and work closely with SAP CPI and SAP FI-CO technical teams. Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for efficient resolution of functional, infrastructure, security, and connectivity challenges.
- IS Project Management for Finance Applications: Lead end-to-end project management for finance-related IS initiatives, including SAP ERP and non-SAP applications. Ensure seamless integration and functionality of new solutions by defining project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in alignment with business objectives. Collaborate effectively with technical teams while gathering requirements from finance stakeholders.
- Automation and AI Leadership: Drive projects aimed at automating and leveraging AI technologies to optimize finance processes in collaboration with finance business partners.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure performance meets contractual obligations. Act as a liaison between finance stakeholders and IT to align application capabilities with business needs.
Desired Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in project management and application ownership roles focused on finance applications.
- Proven expertise in leading IS projects involving SAP ERP and other non-ERP finance applications.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes such as Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Practical experience with Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solutions integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience in automation and AI-driven projects to enhance finance process efficiency.
- Strong technical proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Demonstrated project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and complex, cross-functional projects.
- Deep understanding of finance-related software, cloud-based solutions, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and solution-oriented, with a customer-focused mindset.
