Join Our Team as an Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM)
ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT) is a leading developer and provider of innovative in silico solutions for targeted life sciences applications. We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM).
In collaboration with our partner organizations, the Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT’IS), Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), and TI Solutions AG, we form the Zurich43 alliance. Our mission at Zurich43 is to advance knowledge and technology in several key areas:
- Characterization, optimization, and application of the electromagnetic (EM) near-field
- Predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and physiology in complex anatomies
- Medical applications of electromagnetic technology
Your Responsibilities
- Develop showcases demonstrating the features and capabilities of our simulation platform (web and desktop versions)
- Provide technical support to our global users
- Deliver technical presentations at seminars and workshops
- Participate in scientific conferences and exhibitions
- Research market trends and competitor products
- Gather feedback from users and partners to collaborate with R&D teams for platform improvements
- Assist the development team during all software release activities, including testing software and writing application notes and manuals
- Conduct training sessions
Your Profile
- A university degree in electrical engineering or physics
- A solid background in EM theory
- Knowledge and practical experience in at least one of the following areas: computational modeling and simulation, antenna design, medical device engineering, software development, scripting, web applications, electromagnetic field theory
- A good understanding of software development processes
- A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the highest quality standards of work
- Self-motivated, organized, and possessing excellent communication skills with an impeccable attention to detail
- A friendly personality and a spirit of teamwork
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work independently in a fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines
- Dedication to effectively responding to the needs of partners and customers
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); ability to communicate in German is a plus
