Job Opportunity: Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM)
ZMT Zurich MedTech AG (ZMT), a leading developer of innovative tools and in silico solutions for life sciences applications, is looking for a skilled professional to join our team as an Application Engineer for Computational Electromagnetics (CEM).
ZMT collaborates with esteemed partner organizations such as the Foundation for Research on Information Technologies in Society (IT’IS), Schmid & Partner Engineering AG (SPEAG), and TI Solutions AG (TI Solutions) as part of the Zurich43 alliance. Our mission is to enhance knowledge and technology in the following key areas:
- Characterization, optimization, and application of electromagnetic (EM) near-fields
- Predictive modeling of interactions between physical agents and complex anatomies
- Medical applications of cutting-edge technologies
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop showcases for various applications that highlight the features and capabilities of our simulation platform (both web and desktop versions)
- Provide technical support to our global user base
- Deliver technical presentations at seminars and workshops
- Participate in scientific conferences and exhibitions
- Research and monitor market trends and competitor products
- Gather feedback from users and partners, collaborating with research and development teams to enhance our simulation platform
- Assist the development team throughout software release activities, including testing, writing application notes and manuals, and conducting training sessions
Qualifications:
- A university degree in electrical engineering or physics
- A strong foundation in electromagnetic theory
- Practical experience in at least one of the following areas: computational modeling and simulation, antenna design, medical device engineering, software development, scripting, web applications, or electromagnetic field theory
- A solid understanding of software development processes
- A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Self-motivation and excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Impeccable attention to detail, along with a friendly personality and team spirit
- The ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting tight deadlines
- A commitment to respond effectively to the needs of partners and customers
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken); knowledge of German is a plus
