About the Role

The Application Engineer will be responsible for writing and maintaining application code in a high-level language (XML) and translating biological manufacturing processes into machine instructions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing developer testing
• Participating in integration testing
• Contributing to technical reports
• Supporting key customers and application users by analyzing machine data
• Contributing to investigation reports

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
• First experience in software engineering, ideally within an R&D department in the life sciences industry
• Hands-on experience or a solid understanding of software programming, as well as proven participation in software development methodologies and source code management (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, GitHub)
• Full professional proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications / Assets

• Practical knowledge or experience with CI/CD concepts and Microsoft Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in a markup language (e.g., XML, TeX, HTML) or Python
• Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, cGMP), particularly for the US and European markets
• Proficiency in French is a strong advantage
