Position: Aircraft Technician

As an Aircraft Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely execution of assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks, adhering closely to work instructions and quality processes. You will be responsible for documenting all sub-assembly, final-assembly, and maintenance activities related to aircraft, payloads, and other products. Additionally, you will identify root causes and propose corrective actions for products and systems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming goods inspections and testing; perform sub-assembly and final assembly of aircraft, accessories, and payloads.
  • Execute scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance tasks at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
  • Handle non-scheduled repair work, including the removal, installation, replacement of sub-systems, and subsequent testing, both locally and internationally.
  • Ensure all pre- and post-flight maintenance is completed, recorded, and signed off accurately.
  • Maintain Ground Support Equipment (GSE) to ensure serviceability and readiness for daily flight operations.
  • Prepare the transportation of aircraft, payloads, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of aircraft, Ground Control Stations (GCS), data transmission systems, and flight operations, as well as support external pilots as needed.
  • Act as an instructor for internal and/or external technician training.
  • Support root cause analysis and fault diagnosis using test equipment, implementing approved corrective actions to resolve issues effectively.
  • Prepare reports on tasks executed as required by HR, Finance, or Quality teams.

What You Bring

  • A completed technical education.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a technician for manned and/or unmanned aircraft, with a thorough understanding of assembly and maintenance requirements.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical systems.
  • Process-oriented and structured work methods.
  • A responsible demeanor and solid technical acumen, complemented by good communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written); knowledge of German is desirable.
