About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems with a capacity of up to 500 kilograms. The company provides industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Position Overview
As an Aircraft Technician at ANAVIA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely execution of assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks according to established work instructions and quality processes. You will document all sub-assembly, final assembly, and maintenance tasks on aircraft, payloads, and other products, while also proposing root cause analyses and corrective actions for products and systems.
Your Main Tasks
- Conduct incoming goods inspections and testing, as well as sub-assembly and final assembly of aircraft, accessories, and payloads.
- Perform scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance work at our Swiss headquarters and on a global scale.
- Execute non-scheduled aircraft repair work, including sub-systems removal, installation, replacements, and subsequent testing, both at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Ensure all pre-and post-flight maintenance is carried out, recorded, and signed off appropriately.
- Maintain all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in a serviceable condition to support daily flight operations.
- Prepare for the transportation of aircraft, payloads, and other equipment, ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of aircraft, Ground Control Systems (GCS), and data transmission systems, including maintenance and flight preparation, assisting external pilots as needed, and managing ground movements for flight missions.
- Serve as a Technician instructor for both internal and external training sessions.
- Support root cause analysis and fault diagnosis using test equipment, implementing approved corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Provide reporting on tasks executed as needed by HR, Finance, or Quality departments.
What You Bring
- A completed technical education.
- At least 3 years of experience as a technician for manned and/or unmanned aircraft, with a thorough understanding of aircraft assembly and maintenance requirements.
- A solid technical and practical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical systems.
- Process-oriented and structured work methods.
- A responsible attitude, strong technical understanding, and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (both oral and written); knowledge of German is a plus.
