Job Overview: Aircraft Technician
As an Aircraft Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely execution of assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks in accordance with our work instructions and quality processes. Your responsibilities will include documenting all sub-assembly, final assembly, and maintenance tasks related to aircraft, payloads, and other products, along with proposing root cause and corrective actions for products and systems.
Your Main Tasks
- Perform incoming goods inspection and testing, sub-assembly, and final assembly of aircraft, accessories, and payloads.
- Conduct scheduled and non-scheduled aircraft maintenance work at our Swiss headquarters and globally.
- Carry out non-scheduled aircraft repair tasks, including sub-system removal, installation, replacements, and subsequent testing at both Swiss headquarters and global locations.
- Ensure all pre- and post-flight maintenance tasks are completed, documented, and signed off.
- Maintain all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in serviceable condition to support daily flight operations.
- Prepare for the transportation of aircraft, payloads, and related equipment, paying particular attention to Dangerous Goods compliance.
- Prepare aircraft, Ground Control Systems (GCS), and data transmission systems, assist external pilots as needed, and manage ground movements for flight missions.
- Serve as a Technician instructor for both internal and external training sessions.
- Support root cause analysis and fault diagnosis using test equipment, implementing approved corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Report on executed tasks as required by HR, Finance, or Quality departments.
What We Are Looking For
- Completion of technical education.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a technician for manned and/or unmanned aircraft, with a thorough knowledge of aircraft assembly and maintenance requirements.
- Sound technical and practical understanding of complex mechanical, mechatronic, and electrical systems.
- Process-oriented and structured work methods.
- Responsibility, with strong technical understanding and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential; German language skills are desirable.
