Job Title: After School Care and Holiday Provision Co-ordinator
The After School Care and Holiday Provision Co-ordinator plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children during after-school hours and throughout school holiday periods. This position involves supervising students, organizing age-appropriate activities, and ensuring effective communication with parents, staff, and external providers. The Co-ordinator is dedicated to delivering enjoyable and well-managed programs that align with ISZN’s educational values.
Working Hours
Wrap-around Care - During Term Time (36 weeks):
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday — 15:00 to 18:00
School Holiday Provision – Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
After School Care (Term-Time)
- Collaborate with the Head of Primary to ensure alignment with school values and budget.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure safe student handovers.
- Prepare snacks in a timely manner while managing inventory.
- Liaise with parents regarding scheduling, needs, and expectations.
- Oversee logistics, staffing, and registration for holiday camps.
- Coordinate, plan, and deliver a variety of structured holiday programs.
- Facilitate engaging activities such as crafts, games, and educational support.
- Supervise and engage students to ensure their safety during after-school hours.
- Ensure that all staff and external providers follow safeguarding protocols while involved in holiday camps.
- Administer minor first aid and report incidents in accordance with school policies.
- Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment in line with school safeguarding and child protection policies.
Holiday Provision / Camps (During School Breaks)
- Plan and deliver structured holiday camps for ISZN families.
- Create diverse schedules that include indoor/outdoor play, arts, sports, and themed activities.
- Manage daily logistics, including staffing, registration, supply ordering, and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to ensure camp operations remain within budget.
- Liaise with external providers to enhance the camp offerings.
- Promote holiday programs and manage parent communications effectively.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safeguarding and health & safety standards.
