Job Overview
WBCSD is currently seeking a permanent, part-time China Adviser to support the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Imperatives in developing a robust China strategy for the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the WBCSD EVP responsible for the China Regional Program, leveraging strong networks and experience.
- Provide strategic advice on potential members for engagement within the China program.
- Facilitate regular planning discussions and coordination meetings among WBCSD staff focused on China, on behalf of the EVP.
- Engage in collaboration and team discussions primarily in a virtual setting.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Strong knowledge of the Chinese business environment, including State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and Private-Owned Enterprises (POEs).
- Proven experience in international business and sustainability, with a comprehensive understanding of WBCSD and its objectives.
- Deep insight into China’s sustainability and policy agenda, including its implications for both Chinese and international companies operating in China.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
Position Details
This is a permanent, part-time role based in Geneva, with minimal travel required to China. WBCSD is a purpose-driven organization that values diversity across gender, nationalities, and professional backgrounds.
