Job Overview
The WBCSD is seeking a permanent, part-time China adviser. This role will support the Executive Vice President of Imperatives in building a comprehensive China strategy for the organization.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the WBCSD EVP responsible for the China Regional Program, leveraging strong networks and experience.
- Provide insights on potential members for engagement within the China program.
- Facilitate regular planning discussions and coordination meetings among WBCSD staff working on China, on behalf of the EVP.
- Engage in collaboration and team discussions, primarily in a virtual environment.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Strong knowledge of the Chinese business environment, including state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and privately-owned enterprises (POEs).
- Proven experience in international business and sustainability, with a solid understanding of WBCSD and its objectives.
- Deep understanding of China’s sustainability and policy agenda and its implications for both Chinese and international companies operating in China.
- Fluency in both Chinese and English.
Position Details
This is a permanent, part-time role based in Geneva, with minimal travel required to China. WBCSD is a purpose-driven organization that values diversity across gender, nationalities, and professional backgrounds.
