Your Mission
Job Description
- Adsorption Expertise: Join a team of leading adsorption specialists and contribute to advancing our understanding of adsorption phenomena critical to our DAC process.
- Adsorption Experimental Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret experimental data, extracting meaningful insights and aiding fellow scientists in integrating adsorption principles into their evaluations.
- Adsorption Process Development: Serve as a vital link between sorbent development and process design engineering. Leverage a strong grasp of overall technology and system behavior to enhance, mature, and de-risk our DAC process. Collect, evaluate, and synthesize available tools and datasets to address core technical questions driving process development. Additionally, strengthen Climeworks’ intellectual property position and support competitive landscape assessments.
Your Story
Requirements
- Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering Background: Possess an academic background in chemical engineering, ideally with a PhD focusing on adsorption.
- Execution Mindset & Tools: Execute tasks pragmatically and observantly, demonstrating curiosity, while being proficient in modern data analysis tools and processes.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate complex scientific and engineering concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Language Skills & Travel: Proficient in English and motivated to travel occasionally.

Formalities:
This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, with the expectation that you will work onsite at least three days per week.
