Your Mission
Job Description
- Adsorption Expertise: Join a team of leading adsorption specialists to enhance our understanding of adsorption phenomena critical to our DAC process.
- Adsorption Experimental Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret experimental data, extracting meaningful insights while supporting fellow scientists in integrating adsorption principles into their evaluations.
- Adsorption Process Development: Serve as a key link between sorbent development and process design engineering. With a strong understanding of overall technology and system behavior, you will contribute to the improvement, maturation, and risk reduction of our DAC process. You will collect, evaluate, and synthesize all available tools and datasets—both experimental and modeling—to address core technical questions that drive process development. Additionally, you will strengthen Climeworks’ intellectual property position and support competitive landscape assessments.
Your Story
Requirements
- Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering Background: You have an academic background in chemical engineering, preferably with a PhD focusing on adsorption.
- Execution Mindset & Tools: You are pragmatic, observant, and curious, and you possess proficiency in modern data analysis tools and processes.
- Strong Communication Skills: You can clearly communicate complex scientific and engineering concepts to diverse audiences.
- Language Skills & Travel: You are proficient in English and open to occasional travel.

- This position is based in Opfikon, Zurich, with a requirement to work onsite at least three days a week.
