Your Mission

Job Description

  • Adsorption Expertise: Join a team of leading adsorption specialists, advancing our understanding of adsorption phenomena critical to the performance of our DAC process.
  • Adsorption Experimental Data Analysis: Analyze and interpret experimental data, extract meaningful insights, and support fellow scientists in applying adsorption principles to their evaluations.
  • Adsorption Process Development: Serve as a vital connection between sorbent development and process design engineering. With a comprehensive understanding of overall technology and system behavior, contribute to enhancing, maturing, and de-risking our DAC process. Gather, evaluate, and synthesize available tools and datasets, both experimental and modeling, to address core technical questions driving process development. Additionally, strengthen Climeworks’ intellectual property position and assist with competitive landscape assessments.

Your Story

Requirements

  • Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering Background: An academic background in chemical engineering, ideally with a PhD focusing on adsorption.
  • Execution Mindset & Tools: A pragmatic, observant, and curious approach to getting things done, along with proficiency in modern data analysis tools and processes.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey complex scientific and engineering concepts to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Language Skills & Travel: Proficiency in English and willingness to travel occasionally.

Salary: Climeworks assigns salary ranges based on job level and the local market median for similar roles according to external benchmark surveys. Individual compensation varies based on skills, experience, and the value you bring to our team.
