Purpose of Role

This is a senior role responsible for attracting and driving student enrolments to meet ambitious targets, building relationships with prospective families, and collaborating with all stakeholders involved in the admissions process. The role will oversee lead conversion (generated by our marketing team) to enrolment. This is a position for someone who is a natural leader, performance-driven, and comfortable using data strategically.

The Head of Admissions reports directly to the Head of the School and has a functional reporting line to the Regional Head of Admissions. The Head of Admissions is also a member of the School Senior Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment and Enrolment Management:
    • Advise prospective parents and stakeholders on our value proposition (profile, programme, fee structure, and all services provided) across all sales channels.
    • Implement the School's Admissions process, nurturing the sales funnel at all stages to ensure an exceptional family journey, customer service, negotiation, and objection handling.
    • Follow up with all potential leads to warm prospective sales (through school tours and meetings) and convert them into new enrolments.
    • Create, organise, and deploy innovative open days and recruitment events (both virtual and in-person), ensuring an excellent customer experience.
    • Support the School in assessing prospective students according to the admissions policy.
    • Implement all policies and documentation related to student admissions (including toolkits, templates, and scholarship programmes), ensuring consistency in admissions standards and processes.
    • Monitor and develop lead generation activities, collaborating with the ISP Heads of Marketing and Admissions to meet targets.
    • Work with the Head of School and SLT to develop appropriate programmes and campaigns, including referral schemes and scholarships.
    • Regularly review and enhance admissions documents, parent communication platforms, and marketing materials to ensure accurate information and best practices.
    • Ensure adherence to ISP customer service standards and conduct regular training for all admissions team front-facing staff.
  • Networking & Building Relationships:
    • Develop and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with feeder schools, nurseries, universities, local businesses, government entities, education agents, and other organisations to maximize student recruitment and retention.
    • Support the Head of School in participating in relevant national and regional conferences, events, and competitions to raise the profile of the school, students, and faculty.
    • Collaborate closely with parent-facing administrative staff to ensure exceptional coordination among internal stakeholders, leading to an outstanding visitor experience.
    • Advise on continued support and communication with new families after students enrol at the school - known as 'after sales care.'
  • Enrolment Targets & Data Management:
    • Collaborate with the school leadership team to establish recruitment and retention targets through analysis of enrolment data and trend identification.
    • Lead comprehensive reporting based on data analysis and recommend adjustments to recruitment strategies and operational efficiency.
    • Maintain the CRM system, ensuring it is current, accurate, and effectively utilized for tracking prospective student information.
    • Take ownership of retention targets and ensure the school has clear data and targets to work towards.
    • Develop and implement structured, personalized approaches to retain existing families, proactively identifying at-risk families and formulating actionable plans.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (business administration or similar).
  • Preferably multilingual (French and English are required).
  • Familiarity with both, Geneva and international markets (demographic, social, and cultural knowledge).
  • Demonstrable experience in the commercial service sector (ideally in the educational sector and the student recruitment, enrolment, and retention fields).
  • Strong data management, analytical skills, and proficiency in technology for accurately organising and analysing admissions data, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with data regulations.
  • Experience managing a CRM system (HubSpot or Salesforce is preferred).
  • Articulate and able to present information in a concise and professional manner.
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
