Purpose of Role
This is a senior role responsible for attracting and driving student enrolments to meet ambitious targets, building relationships with prospective families, and collaborating with all stakeholders involved in the admissions process. The role will oversee lead conversion (generated by our marketing team) to enrolment. We seek a natural leader who is performance-driven and comfortable using data strategically.
The Head of Admissions reports directly to the Head of the school and has a functional reporting line to the Regional Head of Admissions. This position is a vital member of the School Senior Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Enrolment Management:
- Advise prospective parents and stakeholders on our value proposition (profile, programme, fee structure, and services) across all sales channels.
- Implement the school's admissions process, nurturing the sales funnel at all stages to guarantee an optimal family experience, exceptional customer service, effective negotiation, and objection handling.
- Follow up with all potential leads through school tours and meetings, converting them into new enrolments.
- Create, organise, and deploy innovative open days and recruitment events (both virtual and in-person), while ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Support the assessment of prospective students in line with our admissions policy.
- Implement all policies and documentation related to student admissions, ensuring consistency in standards and processes with the support of stakeholders following ISP guidelines.
- Monitor and develop lead generation activities, collaborating with ISP Heads of Marketing and Admissions to meet admissions targets.
- Work with the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team to develop appropriate programmes and campaigns, such as referral schemes and collaborations with feeder schools.
- Regularly review and update admissions documents, parent communication platforms, and marketing materials to ensure accuracy and best practices.
- Ensure the school implements ISP customer service and experience standards, conducting regular training for all front-facing admissions team staff.
- Networking & Building Relationships:
- Develop and nurture beneficial relationships with feeder schools, nurseries, universities, local businesses, government entities, education agents, and other organizations to maximise student recruitment and retention.
- Support the Head of School's participation in relevant national and regional conferences, events, and competitions to raise the school's profile.
- Collaborate closely with parent-facing administrative staff to ensure outstanding coordination among internal stakeholders and an excellent first impression for visitors.
- Advise on effective continued support and communication for new families after students enrol at the school.
- Enrolment Targets & Data Management:
- Work closely with the school leadership team to establish recruitment and retention targets by analysing demand, enrolment data, and identifying trends.
- Prepare comprehensive reports based on data analysis, providing recommendations for adjustments to recruitment tactics, customer excellence, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain the CRM system, ensuring it is up-to-date, accurate, and effectively utilized for tracking prospective student information.
- Take ownership of agreed retention targets and ensure the school has clear retention data and goals.
- Ensure the school meets retention targets by developing a structured and personalized approach to retaining existing families and identifying those at risk early.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (business administration or similar).
- Preferably multilingual (French and English are a must).
- Familiar with both the Geneva and international markets (demographic, social, and cultural knowledge).
- Demonstrable experience in the commercial service sector (ideally in the educational sector, specifically in student recruitment, enrolment, and retention).
- Strong data management and analytical skills, with proficiency in technology for organizing, analysing admissions data, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with data regulations.
- Experience in managing a CRM system (HubSpot or Salesforce preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present information concisely and professionally.
